Press the (

), and scroll to
Settings & Tools
.
2. Press (

Sound Settings
., and select from the following:
Call Sounds
— Set ringtones for incoming calls by selecting
Call Ringtone
, and then the desired ringtone. Set the device
to vibrate when a call is received by setting
Call Vibrate
on.
Alert Sounds
— Select the alert type (
Tone
,
Vibrate
, or
Reminder
) for an incoming text message, picture message,
or voicemail. Select
Emergency Tone
to set the alert type
(
Alert
,
Vibrate
, or
Off
) for emergency dialing.
Keypad Volume
— Set the volume for the keypad.
Service Alerts
— Activate an alert.

Select
ERI
(Enhanced Roaming Indicator) to display the
status of the mobile service (network service). The status
can be "Verizon Network", "Extended Network", or
"Roaming". See "Banner," p. 61.
•
Select
Minute Beep
to sound an alert every minute
during a call.
•
Select
Call Connect
to alert you when a call is connected.
Power On/Off
— Enable or disable tones when your device is
turned on or off. This option only works when the master
volume is not set to
All Sounds Off
or
Alarm Only
.

Turn Silent Mode On or Off
To turn Silent Mode on, open the flip, and press the Volume
keys down until
All Sounds Off
is displayed.
To turn Silent Mode off, press the Volume keys up until the
sound reaches the desired level.
Turn Vibrate Mode On or Off
To activate Vibrate Mode and mute all other sounds, open the
flip, press and hold the Vibration key (
) until ’VIBRATE SET’
is displayed.
To deactivate Vibrate Mode, open the flip, press and hold the
Vibration key (
) until ’VIBRATE CANCEL’ is displayed.
